how siterelish.com got started

In the fall of 1999, I was asked by my employer to create a new web site for our company. Like so many other small businesses, my employer had a site that was created by someone inside the company who had some knowledge of html but who did not know the first thing about creating an effective site. 

In an effort to emulate the fancy effects seen on other sites, they had completely ignored the fact no matter how flashy a site may be if, the information your visitor is looking for is impossible to find or even non-existent, people won't be coming back.

Within a weekend, I had completed redesigned a new site which not only earned me many accolades from my employer but requests from other business partners for my help in recreating their sites too.

A few months later, I was elected to a local theater company's board of directors and donated my services to create a web site for the group. Again, within a weekend, I had a brand new site posted on the Internet with very favorable response from both the members of the theater group as well as from webmasters of other theater sites.

Encouraged by the all compliments, I began the process of getting my web design certification through a local community college. Once more my work was met by praise by my professors and fellow students.

As a result of much encouragement from business associates, friends and family, I established siterelish.com in January 2001. In an unexhausted effort to provide the best web design for my customers, I will continue to expand my development skills through on-line and certification courses.
