Security has long been a concern for
governmental agencies, healthcare organizations and many businesses. For
years, picture ID cards have been issued to help control access to
buildings at the point-of-entry. Next, magnetic stripe and bar code
technology was implemented to make the individual identification at the
entry of any facility more secure. Today, smart cards are being used an identification
cards at the point-of-entry, but a fundamental problems still exist. How
can I make the process at my point-of-entry more seamless to my
personnel while still providing them with the security they deserve?
This unique
contactless security device unleashes the power of the smart chip,
allowing you to quickly authenticate your personnel at your facility's
Points-of-Entry
Using contactless technology,
WearLogic's Securewear Signet provides Smart Card based, physical
access security programs with the ability to quickly and securely
identify your personnel at the points-of-entry. A battery powered
device, the Securewear Signet is activated with the insertion of a
control access smart card and the employee's personal identification
number (PIN). Once activated, an employee simply waves the Signet over a
security antenna which can be imbedded into a door, door frame or
turnstile. If the employee has entered the PIN correctly into the
Signet, entry to the facility will be permitted. If the PIN entered does
not match the PIN stored on the ID, access to the facility will not be
granted and security personnel will be alerted to the failed attempt to
access the facility.
